Is Richard Johnson better over fences or hurdles? Does William Buick ride the round course at Ascot particularly well? Is Ruby Walsh’s record of falls at the last fence/hurdle really cause for concern? Does Jamie Spencer hold up too many horses? What we don’t want is anything libellous about x jockey being “a crook” etc. We all have jockeys who have been unlucky for us and looking at the reasons why that might be are fine but please make the criticism constructive. For me personally the jockey is probably one of the factors I give least amount of weight to and I don’t think the booking of any professional jockey would change my mind from a horse I want to back to one I don’t. Nor would the booking of a jockey I like make me back a horse I didn’t otherwise fancy but perhaps I am in the minority here? Let us know the jockeys you rate and the jockeys you don’t and why. When I finish a ride the strava is always about a quarter mile less than the sigma computer. Which one would you say is more accurate? I have friends who ride with a Garmin computer (it's on my wish list but I just can't afford one right now.) and on one ride we did, their Garmin said we had 1100 feet of climbing but my strava only said there was around 600. But recently I have outgrown my old "Sterling Spotlight", Now I loved this bike but sadly it just doesn't work for me anymore. Im interested in finding a bike that is priced well for what it is. I am not looking for a really low end bike but I cant afford what I am looking for new. Id love something in the range of a Trek Domane 4-7 depending on the price or an equivalent from Scott, Cannondale, Canyon or S-Works. I have around 1000 to spend and don't need the bike to be in pristine condition, as long as there are no structural integrity problems or major ascetic blemishes i'm game. If you have something that you think I may be interested go ahead and pm me or post here. If your wondering about sizing Im 6'3", with a 38" inseam and I have fairly long arms. For mtb this year I'm riding Rocky Mountain bikes and I haven't found a cross sponsor yet. Which leaves me open to ride any road bike I want. Tonight I went and raced our Wed Night crit here in Madison and it got me thinking. As much as I like the way my Waterford R33 rides, it really doesn't have the same snap and race feel that some of my previous "race" bikes did. And to be honest I feel like I am losing a bit when I really put down the power. My ideal bike would be something that doesn't hold me back in any situation, road race or crit. I'm not a huge rider (155lbs) but I do hold my own in just about any P12 field and like to ride aggressively and climb a lot. My question, what do you think the ultimate road racing bike is? I was trying to test my cars acceleration and doing 1/4 drag runs at two different tracks. Here's the issue: As soon as the drag run was over, it brought me back to the main game menu. There was no post race info. Could not see my run time. Couldn't restart, save replay, etc. The drag run begins as soon as the track loads, which is obviously not how a drag race works. It has to be counted down by the signal lights so you have time to rev your engine to the proper rpm level for an ideal launch. Please help. Thanks! It got me wondering, what is the best way to gauge if someone is a good handicapper? Doesn't seem like there is a legitimate, quantifiable way to asses it. I know the thought process is more valuable than the actual results but you can't quantify something that subjective.
